Director Identification Number or DIN for short is a number given by the Registrar of Companies to every person who want to become a Director or a Company. It is now compulsory for any person who desires to become a Director in any existing company or who wants to promote a new company to obtain a DIN Number. Also, directors in companies existing on the date of implementation of DIN Number are also required to obtain DIN Number.
Procedure for Obtaining Director Identification Number (DIN)
DIN Form is now required to be filed online after filling it offline. The document required for DIN Form are Photograph of the director, Address Proof, Identity Proof & Pan Card of the Director and DIN Verification form signed by the director. These document are required to be attached with the DIN form after being properly authorised. Further, the DIN Form is required to be signed by authorised persons before filing. After, the DIN form is properly submitted then generally within 1-2days DIN No is allotted by the ROC.
